Problem Note 55145: SMS messages sent from SAS® Digital Marketing are rejected by the ASP Gateway and the messages are not received

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Short Message Service (SMS) messages sent from SAS Digital Marketing might be rejected by the application service provider (ASP) gateway and the messages are not received.

If you review the URL that is rejected by the ASP, you might see a line-feed character %0A that is appended to the mobile phone number parameter. When some ASP gateways read the incorrect line-feed character, they reject the mobile phone number as invalid and fail to send out the SMS messages.

This problem was introduced in Hot Fix K90008 for SAS Digital Marketing 6.1_M1 and Hot Fix R47001 for SAS Digital Marketing 6.3.

To work around the problem, add a dummy parameter (for example, DUMMY) to the end of the parameters list in your ASP Definition Properties dialog box in SAS Digital Marketing Studio. The line-feed character is then added to the dummy parameter, which is ignored by the ASP gateway. As a result, the messages are sent out.
