Data processes in SAS Real-Time Decision Manager enable you to create database queries for your campaigns. When these queries retrieve a date time value from Oracle, the retrieved value is interpreted as if the date time is in the UTC (GMT) time zone. However, most Oracle databases are configured to store date time values in a time zone other than UTC. This combination can cause SAS Real-Time Decision Manager to silently produce campaign results that are different from the expected results.

This hot fix requires that you complete some manual steps in order to use it. After you apply the hot fix, add the following properties to SAS® Management Console Configuration Manager:
sasds.designserver.default.timezoneid
sasds.engine.default.timezoneid
These properties control the timezone that SAS Real-Time Decision Manager uses for datetime values that are read from or inserted into your database. The properties affect actions by data process nodes. The timezone properties do not affect SQL that is executed from DS2 models, arbitration, or other custom code outside of a data process node.
To add the variable that controls the campaign design environment, complete these steps:
To add the variable that controls the campaign execution environment, complete similar steps for the Engine Server:
After you complete the steps above, restart all instances of SASServer7.
