Problem Note 55824: SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager intermittently returns errors, fails to execute when one member of a cluster of SAS® Federation Servers is unavailable
SAS Real-Time Decision Manager can be configured so that each member of the engine server cluster (each SASServer7) uses its own local SAS® Federation Server. For this configuration, the Activity Resource object in SAS® Management Console points to localhost as the host name for SAS Federation Server. When the environment has this configuration, requests should be redirected to healthy engine server / SAS Federation Server pairs if one SAS Federation Server becomes unavailable.
However, the current behavior is that requests continue to go to the engine server that is associated with a non-responsive SAS Federation Server. Those requests produce errors in the SASDecisionServicesEngine6.3.log when DS2 activities (process nodes) and models cannot execute:
com.sas.analytics.ph.RTDMException: Error executing activity
at com.sas.rtdm.implementation.EventExecutor.execute(EventExecutor.java:255)
at com.sas.rtdm.implementation.engine.ActivityNode._execute(ActivityNode.java:58)
