Usage Note 55291: Hive tables created by using the SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Hadoop might contain no data
Hive tables created by using the SAS/ACCESS Interface to Hadoop might contain no data. You can see the Hive table name if you use the Hive or Beeline interfaces, but the table contains no data. This issue might occur if the dfs.client.use.datanode.hostname property is missing, or set to false, in the HDFS-site.xml configuration file.
The SAS log shows no errors during the creation of the table and reports that the Hive table was created with some number of rows and columns.
To prevent the missing data, edit the HDFS-site.xml configuration file and verify that the following property exists and is set to true.
<property>
<name>dfs.client.use.datanode.hostname</name>
<value>true</value>
</property>
