Problem Note 55255: Incorrect LIBNAME statements might be generated from a library that is configured with a relative path in SAS® 9.4 TS1M2
In the second maintenance release for SAS 9.4 (TS1M2), the LIBNAME statement that is generated for a library might be incorrect. This problem occurs when the path specification for the library is configured as a relative path. For example, the problem can occur in a situation similar to the following:
- In SAS® Management Console, you select Environment Management ► Data Library Manager ► Libraries ► and configure a library with a path specification of a relative path (for example, Data), as shown below:
- Then, you display the LIBNAME statement, as follows:
- Select Environment Management ► Data Library Manager ► Libraries.
- Right-click the library name and select Display LIBNAME Statement.
When the LIBNAME statement is displayed, as shown below, it is incorrect because there are no quotation marks around the path Data.
This problem does not occur in the first maintenance release for SAS 9.4 (TS1M1). The quotation marks do appear around the path, as shown here:

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
When you generate the LIBNAME statement for a library in which a relative path is configured for the path specification, the resulting LIBNAME statement does not contain quotation marks around the path.
