Problem Note 54782: A "NullPointerException" validation error occurs after you select "Validate Expression" in the SAS® Strategy Management Advanced Formula Editor
In SAS Strategy Management, you might encounter the following error:
This error occurs when you do the following:
- You click the icon and then click Apply formula from a scorecard-table column heading in SAS Strategy Management.
- On the Apply a Formula to a Column page, you click the Advanced Formula button to define a column formula.
- You define your formula and click the Validate Expression button.
This problem is likely to occur when your formula includes reference to a specific element as opposed to the referencing the value of Current Element, which is the recommended specification when you apply a column formula.
