Problem Note 54731: Previews of unexecuted broadcasts sent from SAS® Digital Marketing Studio show the variables in plain text

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When an unexecuted broadcast is sent from SAS Digital Marketing Studio, the variables might be shown as plain text in the preview. This should not be the case. The variables should be obfuscated.

This problem occurs after the following steps:

  • In SAS Digital Marketing Studio, from the list of broadcasts displayed, you right-click an unexecuted broadcast and select Preview.
  • In the preview, you select Select Sample Rows, choose an email recipient from the list, and click the Finish button.

When you review the received email and position your cursor over a tracked link, the variables within the link are presented as plain text.

To avoid the issue, use another method of sending previews. For example, send the preview from the Edit Content page of SAS Digital Marketing Studio.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
