Problem Note 54521: Performance is slow when you are editing a complex diagram in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio
When you use SAS Customer Intelligence Studio to edit a complex diagram, the program might seem to hang. The problem occurs when a node upstream of a branch node is changed. It might take an hour or more for any update to complete. Every change made to the diagram results in the same apparent delay.
The problem occurs because checks for state for nodes are called recursively. This can lead to a very large number of checks for each node in the diagram. The more nodes and states there are, the more checks there are, exponentially.
Small diagrams are less affected than large diagrams.
There is no workaround for the problem.
