Problem Note 54353: A SAS® tasking logic error might cause unresponsive SAS® tasks or orphaned SAS® spawned sessions in the z/OS operating environment

A SAS task might become unresponsive or a spawned SAS server might cause orphaned processes. To date, this problem has been reported only with SAS/CONNECT® spawned servers, but it might occur with other SAS tasks under z/OS. These SAS programs might execute successfully at times but become unresponsive or leave orphaned processes after termination at other times.
