Problem Note 54326: Performance might be very slow when you use the patchdb tool for database migration in SAS® Enterprise GRC

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In SAS Enterprise GRC, part of the migration process from one release to another uses the patchdb tool to upgrade the database to the later release. During the part of the migration process where the tool is used, you might experience very slow performance. The problem has occurred in migrations from release 4.3 to 5.1. Specifically, slow performance occurs during the patch process from 4.3.0_02 to 4.3.0_03. The patch runs this code, which appears on the command line or in the log:

UPDATE BUSINESS_OBJECT_RESPONSE_TMP A SET BUSINESS_OBJECT_RESPONSE_RK = (SELECT MIN (B.BUSINESS_OBJECT_RESPONSE_RK) FROM BUSINESS_OBJECT_RESPONSE_TMP B WHERE B.BUSINESS_OBJECT_RK = A.BUSINESS_OBJECT_RK AND B.BUSINESS_OBJECT_NM = A.BUSINESS_OBJECT_NM)

The problem occurs when you have large volumes of data.
