Problem Note 54966: Bulk loading with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Greenplum might result in data loss of fractional seconds
Loading data into Greenplum using SAS/ACCESS Interface to Greenplum and the bulk loader might result in the fractional seconds of a timestamp being lost. For example, your timestamp with fractional seconds might look like this:
dt=01JAN1960:00:00:00.079120
dt=02JAN1960:03:46:40.123456
dt=18AUG2014:19:05:56.885000
After a bulk load, the resulting data might look like this:
dt=01JAN1960:00:00:00.120000
dt=02JAN1960:03:46:40.456000
dt=18AUG2014:19:05:56.000000
To temporarily work around this issue, use standard inserts instead of bulk loading. Standard inserts do not result in this behavior.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
The hot fix corrects this fractional second issue that occurs when you are using bulk loading.
