Problem Note 54956: The SAS® Deployment Backup and Recovery Tool purge operation leaves empty directories
Problem
The SAS Deployment Backup and Recovery Tool purge operation leaves empty backup directories in the vault. When this problem occurs, the contents of the backup directories are successfully deleted, but the purge operation fails to delete the directory. You might find empty backup directories in the vault or central vault if one is configured.
Expected Behavior
Backup files should be retained for the number of days specified during configuration for the SAS Deployment Backup and Recovery Tool. When the retention period expires, backup directories and their contents are deleted automatically by the SAS Deployment Backup and Recovery Tool purge operation.
