Problem Note 54770: The Survival node gives "Error: Must use at least two timeid variables", and the Time ID Variables property does not allow changes
When you run the Survival node in SAS® Enterprise Miner, the following error might be displayed:
Error: Must use at least two timeid variables.
You select the Time ID Variables property to specify Time ID variables. The Time ID Variables window should enable you to specify Time ID variables. However, the window might not enable changes, and you are not able to specify Time ID variables.
The problem occurs if your data source contains only two variables with Role set to TimeID. To work around the problem, make sure that your data source contains at least three variables with Role set to TimeID. The third variable is not going to be used, so you can add a random numeric variable, or you can use a variable that you would otherwise set to Rejected. Having a third variable with Role set to TimeID causes the Time ID Variables window to enable changes. Select the two variables that you want to use.
