Problem Note 54556: Connecting to the SAS® Intelligence Platform SAS/CONNECT® Spawner or the SAS® Object Spawner fails
When you connect to a SAS/CONNECT Spawner or a SAS Object Spawner that is defined in the SAS Intelligence Platform under z/OS, the connection might seem to hang and eventually fails.
The problem occurs when the spawner script has been modified to use /bin/tsocmd instead of /bin/tso.
For each environment variable that is used in the UNIX System Services shell script and that has a NULL value, one or more of the following errors appears in the system console log:
+SASTREXX: user-ID: 68352: Error: Invalid ENV option value "TSOOUT="
+SASTREXX: user-ID: 16845568: The ENV option requires an assignment expression as its value.
+SASTREXX: user-ID: 33622784: Error: Terminating due to invalid ENV
option.
To correct this issue, edit the 'high-level-qualifier.SASRX(SASTREXX)' file to remove the following section of code:
if val = ''
then do
call say 'Error: Invalid ENV option value "'assignment'"'
call invalid 'The ENV option requires an assignment expression',
'as its value.'
end
A fix is planned for a future software release.
