Problem Note 54210: The SAS® Object Spawner does not respond after you close a SAS® grid-launched workspace server that runs on IBM Platform LSF 8.0
The SAS Object Spawner fails to respond after you close SAS® grid-launched workspace servers that run on Platform LSF 8. When this failure occurs, no error message is generated. The only symptom is the failure of any attempts to connect to a SAS grid-launched workspace server from any SAS® application.
As a workaround, add the following line in the level_env.sh
script after it sources the LSF profile. The level_env.sh script resides in the SASROOT!/Lev1/ directory.
export LSF_FULL_VERSION=7.06
Note: The LSF 7 module leaks memory because it does not call the LSB_MEMCLEANUP routine. Because the module does not call LSB_MEMCLEANUP, no segmentation violation is generated.
