After you install SAS Web Parts for Microsoft SharePoint, the following error might occur. The error occurs when you edit a web part and attempt to connect to the SAS^® Metadata Server or when you review the SAS Server Health section of the Health and Diagnostics page described in Usage Note 36326: Troubleshooting installation and configuration for SAS^® Web Parts for Microsoft SharePoint.

To correct this issue, follow the steps below after you have followed the steps to 'Configure HTTPS Connections for SAS Web Parts for Microsoft SharePoint'.

1. Export the certificate you just created to a .cer file.
1. Open an Internet Explorer window.
2. Select Tools ► Internet options.
3. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Content tab and then click the Certificates button.
4. Click the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab, locate your certificate, and click View.
5. Click the Details tab and then click Copy to File.
6. Start the Certificate Export Wizard and select Base-64 encoded x.509 (.CER) and click Next.
7. Add a filename path and click Next and Finish.


2. Import certificate to sharepoint trust center.
1. Run SharePoint 2010 Central Administration.
2. Select the Security link.
3. Under General Security, select Manage Trust.
4. From Trust Relationships, select New from the ribbon.
5. Give it a name and browse for Root Authority Certificate and select the one you just exported.
6. Click OK.
