Problem Note 53944: A SAS® Workspace Server connection failure can occur in SAS® Studio when you use SAS® token authentication
In SAS Studio, a SAS Workspace Server connection failure can occur when you switch to a different workspace server using the Change SAS Workspace Server menu action. Along with the failure, the following error is generated in a pop-up window:
SAS Studio
The user "user_name" could not log on to the server
"host-name:8591".
This problem occurs when the workspace servers are configured to use SAS token authentication.
The problem does not occur when you use host authentication. Therefore, as a workaround, configure the workspace servers to use host authentication rather than SAS token authentication.
