Problem Note 53718: When you select multiple values from a dynamic list for a user-defined field, the values are not trimmed before they are published to the _EXT tables
Spaces are inserted between values in a column for a user-defined field when you publish a campaign to _EXT tables. This problem occurs when you select multiple values from an external dynamic list for a user-defined field in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio, as shown in the following display:
When you published the campaign, the values in the column for the user-defined field contain spaces in the CI_CAMPAIGN_EXT table as shown in the following example:
The selected values show a length of $13 because of the length that is defined for the column. The expected behavior is that the added spaces are removed when you publish the campaign. Otherwise, the _EXT table grows rapidly due to the unwanted spaces.
