Problem Note 53244: A purchase order plan containing bulk packs might include discontinued SKUs in the pack recommendation

In SAS® Pack Optimization, a purchase order plan containing bulk packs might recommend discontinued SKUs in the pack selection. In addition, the following error might be generated in the MIMain_PKO_Long_STPServer.log:
ERROR: Error in table REQ_PACK. SKU ID ##### found in PACK ID GB_XXXX is not a valid SKU in the request.
In the text of the above error message, SKU ID ##### can be found in the DI_DM.PRODUCT_DM table with a PROD_DISCONTINUED_DT value earlier than the run date.
The workaround for this issue is to purge the discontinued SKUs via the DI_ETL_Geo_prod_purge_job or re-activate the discontinued products.
