Problem Note 53169: "Unable to upgrade job xxx to the current format" might occur when you use SAS® Management Console to import certain SAS® Data Integration Studio jobs
Not all SAS Data Integration Studio plug-in JAR files are loaded with SAS Management Console. Some of the following files are not included:
- Data Quality Transformations
- SQL Transformations, such as Execute, Create Table, Delete, Insert, Merge, and Update
- DB2 Bulk Loader
- Hadoop
If a SAS Data Integration Studio job that contains one of these plug-in transformations is upgraded using SAS Management Console, the JAVA classes that are needed to perform the upgrade are not available. As a result, the import fails. The error similar to the following occurs in the log:
ERROR - Unable to upgrade the Job 'full-path-to-SAS-Data-Integration-Studio-job-file' to the current format.
Reason: Custom upgrade failed (The specified transformation, 'full-transformation-package-name', could not be found in the available transformations).
To work around this problem, import these jobs using SAS Data Integration Studio and not SAS Management Console.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
Not all SAS Data Integration Studio plug-ins are loaded with SAS Management Console. Consequently, the Java classes needed to perform upgrades on those jobs are not available from SAS Management Console, and the import fails.
