If you try to launch SAS Model Manager using Java Web Start with Java Runtime Environment 1.7.0_45, 1.7.0_51 or 1.7.0_55, you receive a security warning:
Do you want to run this application? Name: Signed JAR resources Running applications by UNKNOWN publishers will be blocked in a future release because it is potentially unsafe and a security risk.
If the Java console logging is active, the following text is displayed in the console:
Missing Application-Name: manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/sas.analytics.mds.mdsapp.jar Missing Permissions manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/sas.analytics.mds.mdsapp.jar Missing Codebase manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/sas.analytics.mds.mdsapp.jar Missing Application-Name: manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/sas.analytics.avp.jar Missing Permissions manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/sas.analytics.avp.jar Missing Codebase manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/sas.analytics.avp.jar Missing Application-Name: manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/org.springframework.context.jar Missing Permissions manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/org.springframework.context.jar Missing Codebase manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/org.springframework.context.jar Missing Application-Name: manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/org.springframework.core.jar Missing Permissions manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/org.springframework.core.jar Missing Codebase manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/org.springframework.core.jar Missing Application-Name: manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/sas.modelmanager.jar Missing Permissions manifest attribute for: http://<server:port>/SASModelManagerJWS/sas.modelmanager.jar ..... more
To enable Java Web Start Console logging and to verify the Java Runtime Environment that your browser uses, see SAS KB0036243, "How to enable logging when SAS® Enterprise Miner(tm) is launched from Java Web Start (JWS)."
With these versions of Java Runtime Environment, the property handling for the Java Web Start JNLP file changed. The change causes a problem when you launch SAS Model Manager.
