Problem Note 53152: "Error on line 1 of document : The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference..." generated when importing XML data

In SAS® Size Optimization, the following error is generated when attempting to import XML data that includes the ampersand '&' special character:
"Error on line 1 of document : The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.
Nested exception: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference."
An example of data that includes the ampersand '&' special character is < prodgrp id="HEART & SOUL">.
The workaround for this issue is to replace the & with the ampersand tag or use the word "and" instead of the '&'.
