Problem Note 53168: A SAS® Marketing Optimization scenario fails to run with the error "A character operand was found in the %EVAL function or %IF condition"
In SAS Marketing Optimization, if you use a combination of constraints and suppression rules that result in a blocking policy of zero, the scenario fails to optimize. The following error occurs in the optimize.log:
ERROR: A character operand was found in the %EVAL function or %IF condition
where a numeric operand is required. The condition was: &end_time_id
ERROR: The %TO value of the %DO J loop is invalid.
