Problem Note 52673: SAS® Enterprise Guide® 5.1 fails to use a configured credentials.xml file

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

SAS Enterprise Guide can be configured to use a built-in scheduling feature. (See SAS Note 30917 "Scheduling projects in SAS Enterprise Guide" for more information.) When you schedule a project within SAS Enterprise Guide, you create a credentials.xml file when the workspace server is configured to prompt the user for their credentials.

Note: If logon credentials for the SAS® Metadata Server are not cached on the client side, scheduling SAS Enterprise Guide projects is not possible.

For SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1 to take advantage of the credentials.xml file that is created for the workspace server, you must apply Hot Fix G35017 (or later). You must apply the fix to each SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1 installation that will be used to schedule a project that prompts the user to supply their credentials to access the workspace server.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
