Problem Note 52613: An error occurs when you specify the THREADEDTCP option for a SAS/SHARE® Server in the SAS® Intelligence Platform under z/OS

When a SAS/SHARE client uses TCP to connect to a SAS/SHARE server in the z/OS operating environment, the connection fails and returns an error. This problem occurs when the server is configured with SAS Intelligence Platform running with the THREADEDTCP option.

This error appears in the SAS/SHARE client SAS log:

ERROR: A communication subsystem partner link setup request failure 
       has occurred.
ERROR: Communication request rejected by partner: security verification failure.

This error appears in the SAS/SHARE server SAS log:

ERROR: Invalid encryption algorithm.
           newAlg: Unable to create Cipher for  algorithm.
ERROR: tkqtcpListenerNewConn: newAlg failed because of messa
ERROR: Critical TK KERNEL error
