Problem Note 52416: Issues addressed in Hot Fix N25001 for SAS® Episode Analytics Server 1.2
Hot Fix N25001 provides corrections for functional issues that are identified in SAS Episode Analytics Server 1.2. The hot fix addresses the following issues:
Issue 1: Readmissions Typical with Complications (TC)
Hospital claims that follow a prior hospital claim were not being assigned as Typical with Complications when a complication occurred during the typical stay, via claim assignment rules 1.4.2.
Issue 2: Readmissions set as ST assignment
When we have a chain of multiple hospital readmissions, the assignment type was not being cascaded through the chain properly. The claims are retaining the temporary ST indicator instead of being properly set as Typical, Typical with Complication, or Complication.
Issue 3: Professional Trigger claim reset to Unassigned issue
For customers using the “IP Bubble” rule to align professional services to their corresponding hospital stay, if a professional services claim is the claim that signaled creation of an episode, and there is a corresponding hospital stay claim that is unassigned for that episode because it is relevant to something else, the professional service claim is being reassigned to Unassigned to match the hospital stay claim, even when the professional services claim triggered the episode. The IP Bubble claim assignment logic has been modified to only change professional claims to Typical, Typical with Complication, or Complication from the hospital claim, NOT Unassigned.
