Problem Note 52915: When you join Microsoft SQL Server tables with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to OLE DB, columns of type GUID might be incorrectly retained
When you use SAS/ACCESS Interface to OLE DB to join Microsoft SQL Server tables, GUID type columns might be retained when they should not be. This issue occurs only when the PRESERVE_GUID=YES option is used in the LIBNAME statement referencing the Microsoft SQL Server database.
Example
TableA TableB
------ ------
NumCol NumCol GuidCol
------ ------ -------
10 8 Guid1
11 9 Guid2
12 10 Guid3
Performing an SQL left join on the two tables creates the following incorrect result set:
NumCol GuidCol
------ -------
10 Guid3
11 Guid3
12 Guid3
There should be no GuidCol values for NumCol values 11 and 12.
