Usage Note 52874: Capturing report diagnostics for SAS® Mobile BI
Overview
Beginning with release 6.3, you can capture some diagnostic information from SAS Mobile BI. Typically, you would send this information to SAS Technical Support for review. The tool saves a ZIP file in the location specified by the Transport Services property named viewerservices.report.debug.directory.
CAUTION: The ZIP file contains data used in the report.
To see the path in your environment, follow these steps:
- Log on to SAS® Management Console with an administrative ID.
- Expand Application Management ► Configuration Manager ► SAS Application Infrastructure ► Visual Analytics ► Visual Analytics Services.
- Right-click Visual Analytics Transport Services and select Properties.
- Click the Advanced tab. Note the path specified for the viewerservices.report.debug.directory property. Here is an example of what your property might look like:
Turn up logging
- Log on to the SAS® Web Administration Console with an administrative ID. The URL is in this form: http(s)://server:port/SASAdmin
Note: For information about how to access the SAS Web Administration Console, see "Using the SAS Web Administration Console" in the SAS Intelligence Platform: Middle-Tier Administration Guide. You can find a link to the guide on the SAS® Intelligence Platform Product Documentation page. Click the tab for your release of SAS®, and then look under "Administration Documentation."
- Expand Application Management and select Visual Analytics Transport Service.
- Expand Logging and set the com.sas.onebi.transportservices.utils.debug.Report logging context to DEBUG, and then click Set Options.
If this context is not already listed, then you must add it and click Set Options.
You do not have to restart the web server.

- Send a copy of the ZIP file to your track with SAS Technical Support. The file will be named similar to sasdemo@SASBI_YourReport_generateReport.zip.
CAUTION: The ZIP file contains data used in the report.
