Problem Note 52850: The SYSERRORTEXT and SYSWARNINGTEXT automatic macro variables give an incorrect message if the previous error exceeds the macro variable size
When the text of an error message exceeds the capacity of the SYSERRORTEXT automatic macro variable, the text for subsequent error messages is not stored in the SYSERRORTEXT variable. This continues until the SAS® session ends. The same behavior exists with the SYSWARNINGTEXT automatic marco variable.
Currently the size limits are:
SAS® 9.3 -- 1024 bytes
SAS® 9.4 -- 2048 bytes
The correct length should be ~64K.
There is currently no circumvention for this problem.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
If an error message exceeds the maximum variable limit of the SYSERRORTEXT or SYSWARNINGTEXT automatic macro variables, the macro variables might not print out the error.
