Problem Note 52808: SAS® Strategy Management shows two sets of Template folders and no Projects when you log on to the software
If you log on to SAS Strategy Management Builder, you might see two sets
of Predefined Templates folders and two sets of User-defined Templates folders, but no Projects are displayed.
You might also encounter the following error:
In addition, SASStrategyManagement5.5.log, which is typically located in a folder similar
to drive:\SAS\config\Lev1\Web\Logs, includes the following error:
ERROR [] org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[Catalina].[localhost].
[/SASStrategyManagement].[jsp] - Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw
exception com.sas.framework.config.ApplicationNotFoundException:
Application 'Help Viewer for Midtier App 9.3' does not exist.
Is it appropriately registered for the underlying data implementation?
This problem can occur if Display Quick Help Tips has been
enabled in SAS® Management Console.
To determine whether this is the cause of the
problem referenced above:
- On the Plug-ins tab of SAS Management Console, select
to Application Management ► Configuration Manager ► SAS Application Infrastructure, as shown below:
- Right-click SAS Application Infrastructure and select Properties. In the SAS Application Infrastructure Properties dialog box, select the Settings tab and then select User Interface.
- If Display Quick Help Tips is set to either On or Always On, change it to Off as shown below:
- Select OK to save the change.
- You must now restart the SAS Strategy Management web application server,
which is typically SASServer11_1, in order for the change to take effect.
After you make the change above and restart the SAS Strategy Management web application server, when you log on to SAS Strategy Management, you should see one Predefined Templates folder and one User-defined Templates folder. If you select a Template, you should see any associated Projects.
