Usage Note 52454: How to invoke SAS® Unicode in batch mode

When you set your SAS default language to English, your default SAS session encoding is wlatin1 for Windows operating systems or latin1 for UNIX operating systems. But how do you invoke a SAS session with UTF-8 encoding in batch mode? Here are some examples.

Under Windows:
sas.exe -CONFIG "C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASFoundation\9.4\nls\u8\sasv9.cfg"

Under UNIX :

/SASFoundation/9.4/bin/sas_u8
