Problem Note 52088: SAS® Master Data Management 4.1 performance decreases as the data hub increases in size
SAS Master Data Management batch and real-time updates invoke a database process to analyze SAS Master Data Management database indices. These index analyses should take place only after batch job updates. They should not take place on single-record updates that use mrm_add_[entity type] data services, because this process can slow down performance, particularly on larger data volumes.
Patches are available for these issues. Important: Back up the SAS Master Data Management database before applying these fixes.
Patch 20417 and Patch 20418 deliver updated database schema creation scripts for both SQL Server and Oracle that limits index analysis to batch processing only. These scripts need to be run manually by a database administrator using the account created for SAS Master Data Management. By default, the user account/schema is named “mdm41” for both SQL Server and Oracle.

Patch 20418 fixes the issue on SAS® Data Management Server.
