Pack recommendations in SAS® Pack Optimization might be undesirable after installing SAS Merchandise Intelligence D81023. For example, some allocations give more prepacks to low-volume stores by putting them over their needs and fill high-volume stores with lots of bulk packs.

After the hot fix is installed, the following global settings are available to improve the results:
ALLOW_ADDITIONAL_REPAIR_STEP specifies whether to perform additional processing to improve the final result. Set ALLOW_ADDITIONAL_REPAIR_STEP=1 to perform additional processing to improve the final result.
ENFORCE_ORDER_CONSTR_BY_COST specifies whether to look only at cost when meeting pack allocation quantities. Set ENFORCE_ORDER_CONSTR_BY_COST=1 to allocate packs based on cost.
FORCE_PREPACK_FOR_ORDER_MIN specifies whether to use a prepack to meet store order minimum when the need is less than the order minimum. Set FORCE_PREPACK_FOR_ORDER_MIN=1 to use a prepack to meet store order minimum when the need is less than the order minimum.
