When applying both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the same hot fix to the same SASHOME at the same time, the contents of the 64-bit hot fix will apply to the 32-bit installation location. For example, if you attempt to apply 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the SAS Integration Technologies Client to the same SASHOME at the same time, you will see that the files delivered in the 64-bit version of the hot fix are backed up and replaced in x86 directory in SASHOME:

To work around this problem, the 32-bit and 64-bit hot fixes must be installed individually, with two separate invocations of the SAS Deployment Manager.
