Problem Note 51808: Using the JDBC driver for Oracle 11 causes slow performance and "out of memory" errors for SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager campaigns
SAS Real-Time Decision Manager enables you to customize campaign functionality by using DS2 code in SAS® process nodes. This DS2 code is stored in a database or in SAS data sets and is executed in the SAS® Federation Server. If the database that the SAS Federation Server uses is Oracle 11, then you might experience a decrease in performance after a period of sustained load. When such a decrease in performance occurs, the memory that is being used by the SAS Federation Server is unusually large. The decrease in performance is caused by a known memory leak when SAS Federation Server uses the Oracle 11 JDBC driver.
To avoid this problem, use the Oracle 12 JDBC driver with SAS Federation Server. This driver can be safely used in conjunction with Oracle 11.
