Problem Note 51725: Some SAS® batch jobs display the error message "SYSIN OPEN FAILED RC=03 DATA SET ALREADY OPENED"
Some SAS jobs might complete successfully but still show the following message in the job entry subsystem (JES) log for the job:
$HASP708 SGPLOT SYSIN OPEN FAILED
RC=03 DATA SET ALREADY OPENED
DSNAME=userid.jobname.JOBnnnnn.D0000101.?
IEC141I 013-C0,IGG0199G,jobname,procname,SYSIN
This occurs in SAS steps that use Java and in which SYSIN is defined instream with the Job Control Language (JCL). This message can be ignored.
