Problem Note 51521: Nonstandard characters in e-mail addresses are being changed when the audit and response tables are updated
SAS® Digital Marketing is incorrectly writing e-mail addresses that contain nonstandard characters to the audit, opt-out, and response tables.
Here are examples of the problem:
- The e-mail address ryan.o'rourke@domain.com is written as ryan.o"rourke@domain.com—the apostrophe (') is replaced by double quotation marks (").
- The e-mail address fred+jones@domain.com is written as fred jones@domain.com—the plus sign (+) is replaced by a space.
As a result, unwanted e-mails might be broadcasted because the e-mail addresses in the distribution list or target audience do not match those in the audit, opt-out, and response tables.
