Usage Note 51484: The SAS® Report Portlet does not use a query optimizer when it renders SAS® Web Report Studio reports
SAS® Information Delivery Portal enables you to display SAS Web Report Studio reports in the SAS Report Portlet. Reports that are displayed in the portlet do not take advantage of the query optimizer that is used when the report is opened directly in SAS Web Report Studio. As a result, the report might render more slowly in the portlet than it does in SAS Web Report Studio.
In addition, reports that use third-party data (such as Oracle), might fail to render in the portlet. One example of when the report might not render is explained in SAS Note 42765.
If performance is unacceptable or if the report does not render, you can use SAS Web Report Studio to display the report.
