Jobs run in Data Management Studio that is hosted on a Citrix accessed server or jobs run from the command line using dmpexec may fail with the following errors:

Failed to launch child "DM-STUDIO-ROOT\studio1\bin\dfwfproc.exe"
(CreateProcess failed with error 5 (Access is denied.))

This issue can typically be resolved by adding the BASE/MAINTAIN_GROUP=YES option to the Data Management Studio app.cfg file.  If encountered when running a job from the command line, specify the option on the dmpexec command using:  -o "BASE/MAINTAIN_GROUP=YES"

To add this option to the app.cfg, follow the directions below:

1. On the host machine, navigate to the DM-STUDIO-ROOT\studio1\etc\ directory.
2. Open the app.cfg file for editing.
3. At the end of the file, append BASE/MAINTAIN_GROUP=YES.
4. Save and close the file.
5. Open a new session of DataFlux Data Management Studio for the option to assign.

In addition, all DataFlux Data Management Studio users will need READ, WRITE, and EXECUTE permissions to the DataFlux Data Management Studio application root directory, as referenced above (DM-STUDIO-ROOT) and all of the associated subdirectories and children files.
