Installation Note 51129: The SAS® Environment Manager middle-tier configuration fails if the host name in the SAS® 9.4 Deployment Wizard contains underscore
The SAS 9.4 Deployment Wizard fails while configuring the SAS Web Application Server at Stage 11 Step 2 when a host name contains an underscore ("_"). When this happens, the errors in the SASEnvironmentMgrMidtier log might include exceptions similar to the following:
Caused by: com.atomikos.jms.AtomikosJMSException: Failed to grow the connection pool . . .
Caused by: com.atomikos.datasource.pool.CreateConnectionException: error creating JMS connection . . .
Caused by: javax.jms.JMSException: Could not connect to broker URL: tcp://ndh_teradata_hpato.pfizer.com:61616. Reason: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: hostname can't be null . . .
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: hostname can't be null
In addition, the vfabrictcsvr_startMidtierServers_datetimestamp.log might contain the following error:

- Webapp with FolderModule context failed to start

You can avoid this problem by changing the host name so that it does not include an underscore.

The SAS Deployment Wizard fails while configuring the SAS® Web Application Server (Stage 11 Step 2) if a host name contains an underscore. Check the SASEnvironmentMgrMidtier log as well as the SAS Deployment Wizard logs for error messages.
