Problem Note 51066: When you create a table in SybaseIQ, the error "Syntax error near 'table'" might occur
When creating a SAS
® data set from a SybaseIQ table, you might receive the following error:
ERROR: CLI prepare error: [Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]
Syntax error near 'table' on line 1 SQL statement: SELECT * FROM "table".
Here is an example of syntax that might cause the error:
LIBNAME libiq sybaseiq user=user_name password=pass_word host=hostname
server=server_name database=database_name port=port_no ;
data test_table;
set libiq.table;
run;
This issue can occur if the SybaseIQ table has a name that is separated by a space. Here is an example: abc table
To work around the issue, set the SybaseIQ option QUOTED_IDENTIFIER to ON.
