Problem Note 50296: HTMLBLUECML style output matches HTMLBLUE style output when using SAS® Enterprise Guide®

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It
If SAS® Enterprise Guide® is used to connect to a SAS® 9.3 server, the results that are generated with procedures such as SGPLOT, SGPANEL, SGSCATTER, and SGRENDER might be incorrect if the HTMLBLUECML style is used. The results match the output created when the HTMLBLUE style is in effect when the results should differ. The HTMLBLUECML style distinguishes groups of observations by simultaneous color, line style, and symbol changes, whereas HTMLBLUE shows only color differentiation.

The current workaround is to confirm the existence of the following three styles in the SASUSER.TEMPLAT item store:

  • Styles.Def
  • Styles.Stat
  • Styles.Htmlblue
Use the code below to verify the existence of these styles:
ods listing;
proc template;
   list styles / store=sasuser.templat;
run;

If these styles exist, they should be deleted using code like the following:

proc template;
   delete styles.def / store=sasuser.templat;
   delete styles.stat / store=sasuser.templat;
   delete styles.htmlblue / store=sasuser.templat;
run;

The results of using the HTMLBLUECML style with the SGPLOT, SGPANEL, SGSCATTER, and SGRENDER procedures are now displayed with line style and symbol changes, in addition to color differentiation.
