Problem Note 50157: The modified length for an existing column might not be retained in the SAS® Enterprise Guide® Query Builder

In the SAS Enterprise Guide Query Builder, if you modify the length property of an existing column, the value might not be retained after you subsequently save, close, and then reopen the project.
The issue also occurs if you have previously modified the length of a column, and you reopen the property window of the Query Builder and click Cancel.
To circumvent the problem, you can apply a format to the column, such as $CHAR40., instead of entering a value for the Length property.
