Problem Note 50028: An error can occur when you have a parameter that contains Japanese characters in a SAS® Stored Process prompt
When a parameter in SAS® Stored Process prompt contains Japanese double-byte character set (DBCS) characters, the following error might be generated:
An error occurred executing the stored process job "<Stored Process name>".
The stored process library failed to retrieve the log.
[Error] STP: The SAS log is unobtainable.
The problem occurs when a long macro-variable value that contains Japanese DBCS characters is split across lines in the middle of one of the DBCS characters. When this happens, the parameter cannot be passed properly and the error is generated.
To work around the problem, either remove the DBCS characters from the parameter or add a space in the parameter value to prevent the character from breaking across a line.
