Problem Note 50017: Optimizing a Purchase Order Plan gives an "ERROR: The System ran out of memory" message

A Purchase Order Plan might fail to optimize in SAS® Pack Optimization. The following error is displayed for the failed plan:
Error: The system ran out of memory.
An error similar to the following is also displayed in the STP log:
ERROR: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of insufficient memory.
There is no workaround.
