Problem Note 50515: SAS® Customer Intelligence campaigns that run for a long period of time fail to finish
Campaigns that run for a long period of time fail to finish if a firewall is in place between SAS Customer Intelligence Studio and the SAS® servers. The failure occurs if the firewall is configured to time out inactive ports and the campaign execution takes longer than the time-out period.
An error similar to the following is written in the SAS Customer Intelligence core log if this problem occurs:
ERROR: Transact error: Unable to commit: Communication link failure: TCP Provider: The specified
network name is no longer available.
To work around this issue, increase the time-out value on the firewall for the ports that are being used to allow the campaigns to finish.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After you apply the hot fix, add the following JVM argument to the start-up parameters for the web application server on which SAS Customer Intelligence core is deployed.
-Dsas.ci.ui.execution.asynchronous=true
