Usage Note 50430: The Authentication Domain option in the SAS® Management Console Logical Grid Server definition should be set to None when you use IBM Platform LSF
In SAS Management Console, the Authentication Domain option should be set to None if the grid cluster is configured to use Platform LSF. The Authentication Domain option is in SAS® Grid Computing's Logical Grid Server definition, which is found in the Grid Server Connection Properties dialog box.
If the Authentication Domain option is set to another value other than None, grid job-submission errors similar to the following can occur:
- From within SAS® Enterprise Guide®, the following error can occur when you submit a job to the grid:
Unable to initialize grid environment"
- From within SAS® Display Manager, the following error can occur when you use the grdsvc_enable function to submit a job to the grid:
"NOTE: SAS application server not found; the local machine will be used"
