Problem Note 50214: SAS® Merchandise Data Integration mdin_minventory_reagg might generate "ORA-12805: parallel query server died unexpectedly" running Oracle 10.2.0.4
When running the mdin_minventory_reagg job in SAS® Merchandise Data Integration running with Oracle database release 10.2.0.4, the following error might be generated in the mdin_minventory_reagg.log:
ERROR: ORACLE execute error: ORA-20001: ORA-20001: ORA-20001: ORA-12805: parallel query server died unexpectedly (p_agg_location (...info specific to error...)
ORA-06512: at "MAXDATA.P_AGG_BATCH", line 202
The Oracle BDUMP log contains the following message:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [32695], [hash aggregation can't be done], [], [], [], [], [], []
This error is caused by Oracle bug number 6471770 and by bug number 5893340.
The workaround for this issue is contact Oracle support to determine the proper batches for your specific operating system and hardware.
After the usual back up and other precautions are taken for database changes, apply the patches provide by Oracle support, and re-attempt the job.
