Installation Note 50147: During a SAS® 9.4 installation on the Windows platform, the Python path might not be recognized, which prevents the installation from continuing
In SAS 9.4, SAS
® Information Retrieval Studio 1.5 requires Python 2.6 to 2.x for deployment.
In the SAS® Deployment Wizard, Review Require Software page prompts you to review required third-party software to complete your deployment.
The Specify Software Location page in the SAS Deployment Wizard prompts for the installation path for Python software.
In some cases, when you specify the location of Python and click Next, the installation does not continue.
The following warning is written to the SDWdate_time.log file.

WARNING: Python is missing win32api
The warning is generated because the installation of Python is missing the required PYWIN32 module. When installing Python from ActiveState, the PYWIN32 module is included by default. However, when installing a non-ActiveState/generic version of Python, the PYWIN32 module is not included in the installation and must be installed separately.
When choosing to install a non-ActiveState version of Python, install the PYWIN32 module from the following location.
