Overview

When you attempt to use the Send To feature in SAS Enterprise Guide, the following error might occur:

This error can occur when you attempt to send files between mismatching SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS^® Add-In for Microsoft office clients. For example, using the Send To feature in SAS Enterprise Guide 4.3 generates this error if SAS Add-In 5.1 for Microsoft Office is installed.

Workaround

To work around the issue, ensure that your clients are using the same release. For example, you can successfully use the Send To feature in SAS Enterprise Guide 4.3 if SAS Add-In 4.3 for Microsoft Office is installed.

Note: Starting with the 6.1 release of SAS Enterprise Guide, the product releases do not need to match as long as the release of SAS Enterprise Guide is equal to or greater than the release of SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office. For example, you can use SAS Enterprise Guide 6.1 and later to send results to SAS Add-In 5.1 for Microsoft Office, but you cannot use SAS Enterprise Guide 6.1 to send SAS Report results to SAS Add-In 7.1 for Microsoft Office.
